Mitch’s Cookies Sweetens The Deal, Brings Back Old Fashioned Memories To The Hoffmann Family of Companies.
The Hoffmann Family of Companies has added Mitch’s Cookies, a small old-fashioned soda shop and dessert bar, to their growing list of small family run companies. The husband and wife team of Lynn and Mitch Mitchell will maintain minority ownership and continue to run and
operate at their current location with their team of “Soda Jerks” on Davis Blvd in Naples, FL next to Tacos and Tequila Cantina.
Established in 2013, Mitch’s Cookies theme came from feedback from customers who enjoyed their cake-like but chewy gourmet cookie creations. The consistent message from those customers was a reminder of grandma’s cookies and childhood memories. From there, the
concept of “taking a step back in time and create new old-fashioned memories” was used to create the old-fashioned themed dessert bar and soda shop.
Awarded Reader’s Choice Dining Award in 2020 for “best dessert place” by Naples Illustrated, Mitch’s Cookies has over 50 different exclusive gourmet cookie recipes including other menu items such as milkshakes,
sundaes, floats, egg creams, ice cream sandwiches and other desserts as well as gift options Mitch reminisces “It all started with a spiral notebook and a pen. I had been baking cookies for years, giving them away to family and friends at Christmas and the comments were always the
same, “You should sell these, they are that good!”, “Your cookies brought back some great memories of my grandmother as they reminded me of her old fashioned chewy cookies.” Lynn Mitchell adds “We are excited to be part of the Hoffmann Family of Companies and look forward to the expansion of our gourmet cookies and concept.”
With the acquisition comes expansion, with plans to put Mitch's Cookies in downtown Naples, grow alongside Tacos and Tequila with the opening of new locations, opening of a store in Winnetka, IL on their mainstreet as well as offering in other Hoffmann family owned businesses. “I will admit, and I know I shouldn’t, but if I was left alone with a box of Mitch’s Cookies they’d be
gone within the hour. Lynn and Mitch are amazing people, I’ve known them for a number of years and am glad to finally have access to an unlimited supply of their cookies as well as bring two additional small business owners to our family. We invest in the people behind the
